Just Us Girlfriends© was founded by Mamie Lucie for the purpose of encouraging women to be their best selves.  Mamie Lucie is a great believer in, and supporter of, girlfriends in our lives.
In times past, and still in some places today, women gathered at the well or market each day to share their stories, give and take advice, admonish one another when necessary, and most especially, to laugh at life's absurdities.
Throughout our lives, from kindergarten on, women learn that it is our girlfriends who give us strength, our girlfriends who bail us out of trouble, our girlfriends who pee their pants laughing at our silliness and our girlfriends who offer a hand, a shoulder, a dollar, a Kleenex, a book, or a special dress to wear on a night out!
The internet offers women, all over, a chance to meet and share our story.  It is in our stories that we reveal who we are, what we know, what we are learning and what we are seeking.  And it is by listening to, or reading our stories that we grow and become enriched. 
Women are amazing; we nurture, we dig deep, we reach out, we challenge, we accept, we do what needs to be done. Let's face it, put a group of women together and there is nothing they won't take on and accomplish!
